Because why the fuck not? Whole car was cut in half and shortened by several inches so the F-body underpinnings would fit. I remember reading about this car 5 years ago but can’t find the build thread. Found these two pics on The Chicago Garage, though.

That B-to C-pillar area is messing with me.

I enjoy fantasizing about FWD cars converted to RWD. I like this one a lot.

I don’t think LS-swapped is quite the right phrase for this. See, LS swap is meant to evoke an engine bay that - invitingly - is sized for another kind of engine and can be “updated” to a simple powerful engine with a minimum of work. This... this is more WHAT IN THE JAMAICAN CRUISE SHIP FUCK

So, not an LS swapped Lumina, but a Lumina-bodied Camaro?

This is not a car that I’d have thought of doing this to.

For when your love of NASCAR outweighs your love of mullets.

You could certainly argue that this is loosely what a Monte Carlo coupe should have been, but it’s certainly a great deal of work for a very odd and uncertain outcome. You like the idea of a midsize Chevy RWD coupe, so you hack up a Lumina *and* a Camaro in such a way that the back seat is even less usable than a Camaro. Sure, that makes sense.

I don’t remember what the F-body content is in this car. It might just be limited to the rear subframe and some engine bay stuffs.

I need to get around to making a RWD LeSabre. Murdersofa Mk II is gonna be a hell of a thing.

I suppose because nascar is a cromulent reason of sorts.

“...very odd and uncertain outcome...” I could not have put that any better.

Thats cool!
I remember seeing a GM prototype like in an old magazine a while back.
Fbody floor pan and drivetrain.

I guess I don’t understand why they would need to shorten it then. I’d think it would be easier just getting a longer driveshaft. Either way though, I love that it exists.

Opened this expecting an LS4 swap. This is soooo much cooler. So much want. I’d totally buy this. And drive it. A lot.

I want a RWD version of the current gen Taurus.

There was a prototype V8 AWD ‘01-ish Pontiac Grand Prix called the Grand Prix G8 Concept. It was fucking awesome. http://www.supercars.net/cars/1485.html

Or just buy a P71 and supercharge it.

Far less fun, and also not Murdersofa.

RWD conversions for Dodge Daytonas are very well documented and people have fitted them with everything from 2.4 SRT mills to 440 Mopars to modern 5.7 Hemis.
